Kaffe on SPARC/Linux

Can anyone tell me if Kaffe will compile and run on SPARC/Linux?  I tried
to compile 0.8.3 a while ago with no success.  I remember reading that
someone was working on the port.

I don't care if JIT is functioning or not.
