Compiling Kaffe on Win 95 (cygwin32)

Hi,

I've been trying to compile Kaffe using cygwin-32 b17 on win95:
Here are the steps I've taken: 

1. bash$./configure.win32 i386-unknown-win32/cygnus --prefix=c:/kaffe 
This step was ok except I noticed a lot of the networking library seems
to be missing. Anyway I soldiered on... next step

2. bash$make > runmake.log
ranlib: @NET_LIBRARIES@: No such file or directory
make: *** [libkaffe_net.a.0.81] Error 9
make: *** [all] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 1
 

Help anyone?
