Kaffe-0.9.0,Linux and JDK-1.1

  I already asked a similar question a week ago, but haven't received a
  satisfying answer till now. If you try out some of the benchmarks that
  come with kaffe you might see that Kaffe actually runs 8 - 10 times
  faster than Sun's virtual machine. But when it comes to compiling, it 
  turns out that running the Compiler on Sun's original VM is about 2 - 3 times
  faster than running on Kaffe. And Kaffe hangs when trying to compile
  multiple files.

  So let's hope the guys from the Toba project produce a JDK 1.1.1 compatible
  version soon, in the mean time I guess we have to stick to the original VM,
  at least for running javac.
