error compiling 1.0.b3 w/SunOS 4.1.4

Hi,
	I'm new to the list, and I didn't see anything related to this
yet.  I'm having a Fatal Error after I type 'make'.  I type ./configure,
which appears to work fine.  When I type 'make', I get lots of warnings
(implicit variables, etc), and when I get to this point, it halts.  Here's
a screen capture...


make: Fatal error: Don't know how to make target `gc-mem.o'
Current working directory
/home/raspy/operator/java/kaffe-1.0.b3/kaffe/kaffevm

make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `all'

I'm using a SunOS 4.1.4 Sparc 10.  I installed Gcc 2.8.1 this morning and
it appeared to install correctly by following their instructions.

Help...please?
