Your solution is a bit more clearer. I stress tested it with the
ApacheJSSI Servlet which uses mark()/reset() in the parsing process (the
application which revealed the bug in the first place) - works fine now!

(BTW: The Apache JServ Servlet Engine (and now: with ApacheJSSI) works
fine with kaffe - I've it working on my Cobalt Cube (a bit slow with
16MB))
