[kaffe] java errors

Hi,
	I'd like to know how to make the compilation tell me why theres an error.
here's the output:
[ checked body of kaffe/util/log/SimpleLogViewer.java in 204 ms ]
[ checked body of kaffe/util/zip/SwitchInflater.java in 49 ms ]
make[1]: *** [lib/stamp] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/mat/kaffe/libraries/javalib'
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

is there a flag that enables it to tell me what is wrong coz I dont even know 
where to begin looking for the error.
