OK, so when I do that, I get:
assertion "FD_ISSET(i, &writesPending)" failed: file "jthread.c", line 1753

and if I comment that one out, I get:
assertion "lock->holder == NULL" failed: file "jthread.c", line 1952

and if I comment that one out, I get:
assertion "blk->free != 0" failed: file "mem/gc-mem.c", line 324

and I'm not quite crazy enough to comment that one out yet.
