[kaffe] SIGSEGV running kaffe

Are you trying to use the JIT? So far as I know, the JIT3 engine is still
broken for MIPS/mipsel, and generates code which ends up dereferencing
uninitialized pointers embedded in internal data structures. There have
been times when building the development CVS sources would produce
a JIT-enabled MIPS kaffe which would at least run the embedded
caffeinemark benchmark, but I've never seen it pass the full kaffe regression
test. I spent a week or two digging into the problem, but never nailed
it down precisely. It looked as if the common JIT3 code assumed that
an architecture-specific routine had set up an address which in fact had
never been set up, but that's just speculation: I didn't have time to do
a comparison of the MIPS and x86 code to see what was missing..
If someone has fixed this, that's wonderful news, and I missed it!
