It occurs with a plain 1.1.4 too, and 1.1.2, so that's definitely not 
related to your changes. ;-)

The test passes with gij 3.4-CVS, but I have not seen valuable fixes
concerning TimeZones or Calendar recently, i.e. >= 2004/01/01. I will have
to check further.
