teikade/biss-awt

Has anybody been able to get any substantial application to run
at all with kaffe/biss-awt?  I'm mostly interested in the teikade
development environment.

I can get kaffe installed correctly, and the environment set up
so that the simple test program executes ok.  However, when I
try to run something like teikade, kaffe complains that it
cannot find the symbol 'getcwd', which is a POSIX.1 function
that should be in libc.

I'm running an ELF-based Linux-i486 system. (2.0.27)

Does anybody know why kaffe wouldn't be able to resolve
such a common symbol?
