kaffe and hotjava ?

There always is hope :-) Yes, compatiblity will remain an issue (and the
upcoming 0.88 version has some significant enhancements). But since it is not
the only goal (native portability, tools, new widgets), there always is the
need for some more help.

When 0.88 will be out, I would like to have somebody investigating problems
with each of the available major Java apps (CorelOffice, hotjava,..).

Please hold on. Or even better, send bug fixes.
