Kaffe binaries compiled for i386-next-nextstep and m68k-next-nextstep  
available at  
http://dev.rkinc.com/~zander/Projects/GarageSoftware/Download/kaffe-0.9.2.NI.b.tar.gz

In this distribution you could find m68k and i386  binaries of kaffe  
compiled to work in interpreter mode with static libraries. This is the best  
we could do for you so far.

Just copy the binary for appropriate platform into /usr/local/bin
and set your CLASSPATH environment variable. You should be all set.
