I wouldn't mind having a 'make distcheck' done somewhere after each 
checkin, but I guess that belongs into the realm of regression testing. 
But once we have regular regression testing in place, I don't think that 
automatically publishing the resulting 'dists' if they pass 'make 
distcheck' would be a bad thing.
