Hi all,
here at TU Dresden we successfully ported the Kaffe to L4 [1,2] using
the development environment L4Env [3]. Since DROPS [4] --an operating
system on top of L4--is real-time capable, one of our students
(Alexander) is investigating the possibility to integrate RTSJ into
Kaffe. Is or has there been a similar project for Kaffe? Are you
interested in such work?

As he went through Kaffe's source code, he found several places where
the JVM has to be modified to conform to the RT spec (e.g., memory
access control, and such). Is anyone interested in discussing these
changes with him?
